Tips to Better Turnout (Uniform & Grooming Rules)
At Evans Matriculation Higher Secondary School, the uniform is a symbol of discipline, identity, and pride. Students are expected to follow the dress code meticulously and maintain a neat appearance.
General Guidelines
- The school uniform must be worn daily, and students should ensure it is clean, well-pressed, and complete.
- The school belt and ID card must be worn at all times within the campus.
- Shoes must be polished regularly, and socks should be clean.
For Boys
- Hair must be short, neat, and natural. Fancy hairstyles, sideburns, pencil-fit or balloon-fit pants, and low-waist trousers are strictly prohibited.
- Monthly haircut and daily clean shave are compulsory for higher classes
- Wearing ornaments, friendship bands, colored spectacles, or fancy watches is not permitted. Only a simple black-strap watch may be worn.
- Boys must wear white vests under their shirts.
- Shirts should always be buttoned and tucked in properly.
For Girls
- Hair should be neatly plaited into two with black ribbons. Loose hair, ponytails, or fancy hairstyles are not allowed.
- No makeup, nail polish, lipstick, or fancy ornaments are permitted. Only small simple studs and a black-strap watch (if necessary) may be worn.
- Girls must wear white slips and white tights under their uniforms.
- On color dress days, only churidars with a single plait are allowed. Sleeveless tops, leggings, or transparent dresses are not permitted.
Discipline in Dress Code
- Improper uniform or grooming will lead to a warning note, fines, or being sent home.
- Repeated defaults may result in losing privileges such as awards or even dismissal.
Note: The school emphasizes that simplicity, neatness, and dignity in appearance reflect the values of an Evancian.
